New pictures

We had pictures taken yesterday. She got some really cute pictures of the kids.

Happy Birthday Katelyn!

Two days old.

My little Katelyn, she didn't want to stay my baby as long as I wanted her to. She started taking steps just before she turned 10 months old. I guess she just wanted to catch up to her big brother who she LOVES. She lets him know when he's making her mad though.

I can't believe it has already been a year! It seems like the more you want time to go by slow, the faster it goes. She is such a blessing to our family! We love you Katelyn!!

Sugar pumpkin

We have been enjoying this yummy treat the last couple of days. This is the first year I've felt brave enough to make a pumpkin pie from scratch and I don't think it will be the last.

We're back, finally

Along with me putting off updating, I lost my camera battery charger so even if I stopped being a slacker and wanted to post something, I couldn't have. But I'm done being a procrastinator (for a minute) and I found the charger.

I'm going to start with some pictures from this summer and go from there.

I just realized that I uploaded pictures from only one memory card. I was wondering why I couldn't find all of my pictures! Go figure :)

Three year olds

Yesterday we were driving down the road listening to the radio. Keith Urban's song, "Kiss a
Girl", was on and out of the blue Spencer said, "I want to kiss a girl". "I said really? What girl do
you want to kiss?" He said, "my mommy". I'm glad I'm still his first choice!! I love this age, even
though in some ways it's challenging, it's also so fun to hear what he is thinking.

Stuck

This is Spencer's arm stuck in his ball machine. He loves to play with it, but not the way it was intended. Everything except for the balls that came with the machine go in it, but he still hasn't figured out that tipping it upside down is a better way to get the objects out, since they won't come out with the air blowing. This time it was a little more difficult to get his arm out, at least I know he's growing! I ended up spraying cooking spray down in between his arm and the tube to get his arm out... Never a dull moment!

Firsts

So I go to get Katelyn up from her nap and she is standing up in her crib, first time. Then I look in the living room and she is standing up to the sofa, for the first time. I think she is determined to catch up with her brother and her cousins. I just don't want to let her, but I can't do much to stop her. My little baby girl.

Wishing

Oh how he wishes his mom would let him go outside as much as he wants. He LOVES to go outside.

I remember when I was really little, probably about four or five years old, my sisters were all outside and I SO wanted to go with them but I was sick. This picture reminds me of how I felt that day. I'm trying to take him outside as much as I can before the weather gets too hot. My house will just have to stay dirty a little more than usual. I love this little boy!

I'm "flee" (three)

Spencer turned 3 on May 3rd. We had a friend party for him on Saturday and a family party on Sunday. We did the Lightning McQueen theme again and I made a pinata for the friend party. The kids seemed to enjoy that.

Where does the time go?

I can't hardly believe that six months ago we brought this precious little spirit into the world. She has such a fun personality. She is already starting to get around, a little too much for me. Last night Spencer dropped a nutter butter snack on the floor and a little later Dallas found Katelyn with it in her hand sucking on it. Guess it's time to child proof all over again.
